The end of the academic year is usually a floury of activities. At Dance Centre it is no different we get to engage with both parents and potential students. The academic year is coming to a close. It has been an amazing year with a whole lot of growth accompanying us as well. We were able to put up 4 productions this year including, our annual Christmas production, The Nutcracker followed by Cinderella. All in all it has been a fantastic. May 26th and 27th 2018.  Dance Centre Kenya will be performing excerpts from Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty as well as original Hip Hop and Contemporary pieces, choreographed by our very own teachers at the International Schools & Universities Educational Fair (ISEF) on Saturday and Sunday, May 26th and 27 th at the Hub in Karen. May 8th - May 15th 2018.  The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examinations at Dance Centre Kenya will run from May 8 th up to May 15 th 2018. The RAD offers an internationally recognised portfolio of exams designed to motivate and encourage students of all ages and levels of ability. At DCK we host the exams annually. This year we have students from Pre-Primary level up to Advanced 1 taking exams. We wish all our students the best of luck in their upcoming exams! The RAD focuses on creativity

May 5th 2018 We are proud to announce that some of our very talented gymnastic students will be competing in the upcoming Gymnastics Kenya Competitions, organized by Kids Gymnastics at International Schools of Kenya. Our gymnastics teacher, James, has selected a team of 5 of our most advanced students to take part. The competition will feature different groups competing against each other to emerge the best. The winning groups and best male and female performer will be awarded with medals and all participants will be given certificates and t-shirts. Good

On Sunday 14th of January, DCK will hold Company auditions at the Karen Hardy Studio. Dancers in Grades 1 to 3 will audition from 2:00 to 3:00 pm and those in Grade 4 and above will audition from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. This audition is for students who are in grade one and above and take a minimum of two ballet classes a week. We strongly encouraged Company members to take class in at least one other discipline of dance (contemporary, jazz, modern, musical theatre etc.). The

Hip Hop, Gymnastics, Jazz and Ballet now offered by Dance Centre Kenya at Burn Body, Kitisuru Manor 1.2B Kitisuru Road (opposite the new Spinners Web) In October 2017 we started running ballet classes at the brand new fitness studio Burn Body on Kitisuru Road. The classes were met with great enthusiasm and were growing rapidly. For this reason, we decided to add more classes to the Kitisuru schedule.
