Student Sponsorship
Sponsorship
Since its inception in 2015, a cornerstone of Dance Centre Kenya’s mission to create opportunities for dance in East Africa has been to include young dancers who come from underprivileged backgrounds. Scholarship students come to us from arts programmes in the slums, local government schools and auditions through our sister organization Artists for Africa.
Many of our early sponsored students have gone on to achieve great success. George Okoth and Shamick Otieno are now studying dance at the University of East Carolina, and just this year, Pamela Atieno moved to Ethiopia to teach at Beyond Dance Studio, inspiring future generations with her passion.
We invite you to join us and become a sponsor of a deserving young artist. Sponsorship is offered at several levels, and is available to individuals, families, and companies. Additionally you may choose to co-sponsor a student with another party.

Artists for Africa & Dance Centre Kenya Partnership
Artists for Africa, a US registered charity, has joined DCK in our goal to enhance the educational opportunities for underprivileged children in Kenya. Through the Gold level sponsorship program, children from underpriveledged backgrounds are able to dance five or six days a week, providing them with opportunity to train at an international standard .
DCK sponsorship is paired with a grant from Artists for Africa to provide housing, nutrition, academic tuition, and transportation for each young artist.
We at DCK are extremely proud of our partnership with Artists for Africa and of the young people who have earned this life changing opportunity. Their lives are forever changed by their exposure to the arts and the education, discipline, confidence, and creativity they will gain. We hope that you will join us in this endeavor.
Thank you!
