Company Auditions

On Sunday 14th of January, DCK will hold Company auditions at the Karen Hardy Studio. Dancers in Grades 1 to 3 will audition from 2:00 to 3:00 pm and those in Grade 4 and above will audition from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. This audition is for students who are in grade one and above and take a minimum of two ballet classes a week. We strongly encouraged Company members to take class in at least one other discipline of dance (contemporary, jazz, modern, musical theatre etc.). The Ballet Company of DCK offers extra classes and performing opportunities to students who work hard and are determined to take they abilities to a higher level.

All female dancers are expected to wear black leotards and pink tights and hair in a bun to the audition and all company classes and rehearsals. Male dancers are to wear white t-shirts and black shorts or tights.

Company classes and rehearsals will switch location every other term. For school year 2017/2018 we will have the first (Sept) and third terms (April) at the Lavington studio and the second term (Jan) at the Karen studio. It will be the opposite for school year 2018/2019.

We hope many of you will participate in this year’s company, but we highly encourage everyone to consider the commitment involved and be sure that you are ready to stay committed for the entire year. Auditions are held only once a year.
