THE 6TH ANNUAL NUTCRACKER BALLET
That most magical time of year is back! Dance Centre Kenya performers will be back at the Kenya National Theatre for their 6th Annual Christmas Production of the Nutcracker on the weekends of November 25th-27th and December 3rd – 4th. This Tchaïkovski classic will provide more than one hundred and fifty dance students with the opportunity to perform this more than hundred-year-old ballet performance and give the audience the opportunity to witness a spectacular event that traditionally kicks off the Holiday Season. We also have, after the Covid-19 pandemic, the Nairobi Philharmonic Orchestra playing the score with many international members of European and UK orchestras participating after an almost 3 year hiatus!
In addition, you also have an incredible opportunity to spread the Christmas cheer by gifting underprivileged kids with a trip to the Kenya National Theatre to watch The Nutcracker. You can buy a ticket gift and it will go a long way to help a kid’s dream come true. For KES 10,000, 10 children will get the gift of coming to watch one of the performances. Through the effort of some amazing DCK volunteers we have been able to include their transport to and from the theatre and a snack at the theatre in this price. To honor you, Dance Centre Kenya will send out an invitation to the sponsored kids/institutions with your name on it. Please find the video attached. You can also buy a ticket gift on behalf of someone else as a Christmas gift, i.e. to gift someone the pleasure of knowing that through them 10, 20 or 30 kids were able to come and watch The Nutcracker, who would otherwise not have been able to come and watch the shows.
